Three Paths to Healing

Three healing artists come together to offer the combined powers of Yoga, Shiatsu, and Sound Healing. Offering a transformative, life-giving experience for small groups. Participants will receive Shiatsu from Bobby and Jovielle while being led through a restorative asana practice. A calming, meditative sonic tapestry of crystal singing bowls, woven by artist Ayumi Ueda, will dynamically accompany the 90 minute sessions. We invite you to join one of our upcoming events!

Jovielle Gers

A second generation Yoga teacher and lifelong practitioner, Jovielle has studied extensively with master yoga teachers Patricia Walden and Barbara Benagh, as well as studying yoga and meditation, over a period of two years, in India. She has been teaching yoga for 10 years in the Boston Area, including two years of teaching therapeutic yoga in the Walden Behavioral Care program at the Children’s Hospital in Waltham. She is a certified Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction teacher, through Jon Kabit-Zinn’s Center for Mindfulness at Umass Medical School. Jovielle also offers Thai Yoga/ Thai Massage, an Asian Bodywork Therapy, which she learned in Thailand. Mrs. Gers holds a BFA from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.

Robert Canty

A Boston area Shiatsu teacher and practitioner, Bobby's hope is to bring Shiatsu to as many people as possible, and in this capacity treats and teaches more than 1,000 clients and students each year. He is the creator and teacher of the Shiatsu for RN's -CNE classes at Childrens Hospital where he also does Shiatsu with families and staff.

Ayumi Ueda

Ayumi Ueda is a certified Reiki Practitioner and is currently conducting her original sound healing treatment which combines crystal bowls, mantra chanting, and Reiki. She performs her sound healing treatments for parents of children who are patients at Children's Hospital Boston, and plays crystal bowls to accompany yoga classes and create a relaxing ambiance at SPA Intercontinental Hotel Boston. Ayumi also appears as Visiting Artist in Introduction to Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches students about the healing applications of crystal bowls.
